TL;DR — The Short Version
EarnIt does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Everything stays on your device. There are no servers, no cloud sync, no accounts for children, and no analytics or tracking of any kind.
Information We Collect
EarnIt collects no information whatsoever. The app does not have user accounts, analytics, error reporting, or any other mechanism that transmits data outside your device.
All data you enter into EarnIt — including child profiles, chore lists, goals, and earnings — is stored exclusively on your iPhone or iPad using Apple's SwiftData framework.
AI and Apple Intelligence
EarnIt uses Apple's Foundation Models framework for AI-powered features such as chore suggestions, goal planning, and price estimation.
All AI processing happens entirely on-device. Your prompts, your family's data, and the AI's responses never leave your device or touch any external server — including ours.
Apple Intelligence features require a compatible device and iOS 26. EarnIt gracefully degrades to curated defaults when Apple Intelligence is unavailable.
Third-Party Services
EarnIt does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data-sharing services.
The EarnIt marketing website (earnforit.com) uses Clerk for waitlist management. When you join the waitlist, Clerk processes your name and email address according to Clerk's own privacy policy. This is separate from the EarnIt iOS app, which has no connection to Clerk.
Children's Privacy
EarnIt takes children's privacy seriously. The iOS app requires no account for children — there is no sign-in, no username, and no password for kids.
EarnIt does not collect any information from children and is therefore not subject to COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) reporting requirements for the app itself.
Data Security
Since EarnIt stores all data locally on your device, your data is protected by your device's built-in security features, including Face ID, Touch ID, and device encryption.
We recommend keeping your device updated and securing it with a passcode.
Changes to This Policy
If we ever change this privacy policy in a meaningful way, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify users through the app.
